Engine - Page 2

The carburetor linkage was in tact except for the butterfly linkage which connects the carburetors to each other.  With the original GM specs, a little sheet steel and fuel line, I fabricated these in my garage.  You can get repos now but these are so close to original I don't think I will replace them.

The correct breather configuration for my car (late 54) is a dual pot system.  I have a set of the bullet breathers used on the early 54s - I will probably use them - they highlight the side draft carb trio better anyway.

The signature Ignition Shield is missing - otherwise you couldn't see any of the ignition or side of the engine.  The distributor is also incorrect - the 54 uses a tach drive distributor.  Purchase of the ign shield will be budget driven - I have already purchased a correct distributor.

I replaced the fuel pump with a correct pump which incorporates a vacuum pump - when I installed the original carbs.  All fuel and vacuum line were also replaced.
