Interior

The interior is in pretty good shape.  All gauges are intact and operable.  This car has been converted to 12V which I will probably maintain.  Note: the wonderbar radio is blocked off.  I'm not sure if I will bare the expense to replace it or install a modern sound system.  I enjoy listening to 50's music while driving - a CD player is the best media for this - but CD players were not in 54 Vets.
All 54 Vets were originally equipped with Powerglide Automatic Transmissions.  Somewhere in it's history, this car was converted to a 4-Speed.  I  will keep this configuration, but I need do some major rework here.  The original conversion was a real cob-job.  To make it as GM as possible - I purchased a Pedal Tree out of a 55 Corvette (threw away the box end wrench that was welded to the original tree).  I still have to fabricate a cross shaft support - but once done it will be as GM as can be.  It will not be original - but it will look like it is before I'm through.
The Interior door panels are pretty bare.  The dash (white) continues through the door - below the upper pad.  This extension forms the door pull.  Note: it is missing.  This will be replaced.  The arm rest makes into a glove box with a hinged cover.  There are NO windows in this door or any 54 for that matter.  The windows are Side Curtains attached to the doors by receivers and locks.  I have purchased a pair of sidecurtains and associated hardware for reassembly.  The interior will remain RED with White stiching.  The Seat Backs spring sets are in good condition but the bottom springs are gone - they will have to be replaced.  The door fiberglass and strikers are in good condition.
